Knit On!

The World's Smallest Horse has nothing to do with knitting. Still cute though.

The World's Smallest Horse has nothing to do with knitting. Still cute though.

It’s that time again! Picking up 10 Christmas projects at once has reminded me that the best way to get everything done is by talking and drinking too much caffeine. On that note…LET’S KNIT! This year I am not going to setup a regular schedule. Instead let’s try scheduling as we have need and time. Here is the proposal for the first knit along of the year…

Date: Monday December 15th 2009
Time: 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM (or anytime in there)
Location: Coffee Garden in Curtis Park
2904 Franklin Blvd. Sacramento, CA 95818
http://www.thecoffeegarden.com/location.html

Please email me if you are interested. I will post an update once the date and time have been confirmed.

I actually finished this sweater in December (just in time for Christmas), but I STILL haven’t taken any good pics. Here are a couple that Sean dug off his phone.

The cuffs look much better now. I added some length and folded them over after taking this picture.

Yay me!

I finally logged into my Ravelry account and took a peek around. For those that don’t know, Ravelry is an onlineravelry.jpg fiber community. The site lets you do things like organize your yarn stash and needles, share pictures, and queue up projects and IT IS AMAZING. With Ravelry fulfilling my online knitting addiction AND allowing me to catalog it down to the last ball (read: OCD out) I may never need anything else again. Air? Food? Water? Forget it. I have Ravelry.

Woolly Lambmoth knit togethers are being canceled until further notice due to lack of attendance. I am always interested in knitting, so if you want to schedule a little coffee shop time leave a message! As usual, we will start up again when enough people are free to meet up regularly.

defenseknitting.jpg For those of you that aren’t going to be out partying it up on President’s Day, knitting is scheduled at 7:00 PM tonight at Temple. For more info, check the Details tab or WL Calendar.

If you have a chance, check out this post from PurseLipSquareJaw.org  titled  Knitting and public politics. Fantastic!

Sue finished her second beanie! Here she is looking very happy (and blurry, sorry!) about it at Temple in January. I have not been able to get into Word Press for a while, but everything is good now. If you would like to send me a picture of your recent accomplishments, please do! I will post them up for everyone to see. Happy knitting!

(or at least Nikki will ;) )

Hello, ladies! Long time no post, but I had to show you these super cute animal patterns that you can buy from hansigurumi’s etsy shop.

It’s that time again…time to knit-together. Same bat place, same bat time. If that doesn’t mean anything to you check out the Details tab for schedule and directions. Hope to see you all Sunday!
